Sleep

Find your way back to restful, natural sleep

We all know how important sleep is – for our health, mood, memory, and everyday coping.

But when you’re lying awake at 2am, tossing and turning, watching the clock tick forward, that knowledge isn’t much comfort.

Sleep problems can feel incredibly isolating. Maybe you struggle to fall asleep in the first place.

Maybe you wake up in the early hours and can’t drift off again. Maybe your mind just won’t slow down, no matter how tired you feel. And the more you worry about sleep, the harder it becomes.

At Amanda Graham Hypnotherapy, I work with you to break that cycle – gently, naturally, and without relying on sleeping pills or gimmicks. Together, we’ll help your mind and body relearn how to rest.

What causes sleep problems?

Sleep can be disrupted for lots of reasons. Stress and anxiety are common culprits – when your brain’s stuck in “alert” mode, drifting off becomes difficult. But other factors like grief, trauma, chronic pain, hormonal changes, and habits around bedtime can all play a part too.

You might:

    •    Struggle to fall asleep at night
   •    Wake up frequently or too early
   •    Feel exhausted but wired
   •    Lie in bed with racing thoughts
   •    Dread bedtime because of past sleep struggles

Whatever your experience, you’re not alone – and it’s not “just in your head.”

Your mind and body are reacting to something, and with the right support, they can learn to settle again.

HOW HYPNOTHERAPY CAN HELP WITH SLEEP

Hypnotherapy helps calm the nervous system and quieten the overactive mind. In a safe, relaxed state, we can work with the subconscious to:

    •    Let go of unhelpful thought patterns around sleep
   •    Reduce stress and nighttime anxiety
   •    Establish a new, positive association with bedtime
   •    Strengthen the body’s natural sleep rhythm
   •    Teach your mind that it’s safe to rest

You won’t be “hypnotised into sleep” – instead, we’ll build the internal conditions that allow natural, healthy sleep to return.

A practical, gentle approach.

You won’t be told to drink chamomile tea or take cold showers. Instead, we’ll focus on what’s really going on beneath the surface – and how to shift it.

Some things we might explore include:

  • What your current sleep patterns look like

  • Any stress, emotions, or habits affecting rest

  • How you talk to yourself about sleep

  • What routines could support better sleep hygiene

  • Techniques to calm your system before bed

Sessions are fully tailored to your needs, and we’ll work together to find what works best for you.

Who is this for?

Hypnotherapy for sleep may help if you:

    •    Have trouble falling or staying asleep
   •    Experience nighttime anxiety or racing thoughts
   •    Wake up feeling unrefreshed
   •    Use medication or alcohol to get to sleep
   •    Feel stuck in a cycle of poor sleep and worry

Even if your sleep problems have been going on for years, change is possible.

Sometimes it just takes a shift in mindset – and a bit of kind, calm support.
