Most people find that they have several problems which can often be caused by a single issue. You will find that most of your anxieties, fears and habits are connected.
Please be aware that if you are suffering from a medical condition I will always recommend you seek medical advice alongside any hypnotherapy treatment.
Have you tried every diet out there? Still craving junk food or sugary snacks? Through weight loss hypnotherapy I can change your relationship with food completely so you only eat when you are hungry and combine a healthy diet with exercise.
Reduce stress and anxiety
Some anxiety is normal and helps us in emergency situations when we need the adrenaline to start pumping. However, too much stress in our day to day lives for routine reasons such as work, family or finances can cause excessive feelings of dread and worry. Through hypnotherapy I can retrain your brain to approach situations in a more calm and measured way. Please note that if you are suffering from severe depression I will always recommend you seek medical advice if you haven't already.
Many people choose to smoke because of the immediate rush, but this wears off over time and just becomes a bad habit. The negative effects on our health are obvious, but some people just can't quit even when they try to. Through hypnotherapy, I can help you build a stronger internal desire to stop by changing the way you think about smoking. I can usually help my clients to stop smoking after 1-2 sessions.
Reduce alcohol intake
A few of us drink too much and it can easily escalate from just socialising occasionally with friends to situations where we drink almost every night to reduce stress or just to avoid feeling bad. This can affect our relationships with friends or families and once we stop admitting how much we drink it is a problem. Through hypnotherapy, I can help you change your attitude towards alcohol, accept why you drink too much and look for other ways to make you feel better.
Improve career performance
Some of us find ourselves stuck in our careers and unable to move forwards. This is usually down to imposter syndrome, a lack of self-confidence and a general assumption that others are naturally better than us at our jobs. Through hypnotherapy, I can help you refocus your mind on what you are good at, help you regain your self-confidence and in some cases, realise your current career isn't the one you were born to do!
Deal with phobias
Almost all of us have a fear of something, but for some of us it is quite severe and it stops us living our lives the way we want to. Some common examples are fear of cats or dogs, flying, public speaking, the dentist, heights, needles, spiders or small spaces. Through hypnotherapy, I can help you find the root cause of your problem and understand in most cases that your fear is usually totally irrational. I can also help you put coping strategies in place for when you need to face your fear.
Deal with guilt
Many of us have suffered from feelings of guilt from time to time. When we feel we have done something wrong which affects others, it can cause us to worry. Some guilt is normal, otherwise we would never take responsibility for our actions, but if this gets out of proportion it can affect our self-esteem and make us depressed. It is particularly common for parents who have to make life choices affecting their children or other family members. Through hypnotherapy, I can help you regain your self-confidence, put your feelings into perspective and be the best person you can possibly be for the people around you.
Many of us don't get enough sleep. Whether we have trouble falling asleep, keep waking up during the night or wake up early in the morning. Maybe you snore, talk in your sleep or have nightmares as well. This can make it harder to concentrate or focus during the day and long term this can make you exhausted or depressed. You are also less likely to eat healthily when you are tired and probably drink more alcohol. Usually this is linked to anxiety. Through hypnotherapy, I can help you relax, be calmer and get a better sleep as well as changing your daily routine.
Deal with pain
Dealing with pain can be debilitating for those of us that suffer from it either constantly or after an operation. Through hypnotherapy, I can help you change the way you perceive the pain and how you manage the stress and anxiety around it. I can't take the pain away, but I can reduce the negative effect it has on your life. Hypnotherapy can also help deal with scan anxiety and how to approach difficult situations if you are awaiting a cancer diagnosis or any other serious illness.
Improve sports performance
Sports performance has as much to do with mental resilience as it has to do with physical performance. How many sportspeople do you see 'choking' when their big moment arrives? Through hypnotherapy, I can help you relax when under intense pressure, achieve a winning mindset, grow your determination, reduce anxiety and get rid of any self-doubt. I have helped marathon runners, boxers, showjumpers and many others.
Deal with grief and trauma
All of us have or at some point or will in the future, experience some kind of grief or trauma through either a close friend or family member passing away or some horrible event affecting our life. Through hypnotherapy, I can help you reach the stage where you can have happy memories of your loved one without the attached pain of missing them or to resolve the traumatic memories that are problematic.
Young people can suffer so much from problems in society such as bullying, social anxiety, eating disorders, pressure to perform well at school or worries about their appearance. Some of it is natural teenage angst, but more serious cases can lead to depression or serious emotional problems. Through hypnotherapy I can help reduce their anxiety and help them succeed to become the person they want to be.
